Hivra connects to YouTube through Google’s official authorization flow. Once your channel is linked, you can publish Shorts and longer videos from the Hivra Composer with control over visibility, playlist assignment, and metadata. The video title in YouTube is drawn from the Composer caption by default, but you can override it for each post.

Connect your YouTube channel

1

Open Integrations

In Hivra, go to Dashboard → Integrations and click the YouTube tile.
2

Confirm the redirect

Review the confirmation overlay showing your workspace and the Hivra callback URL, then click Continue.
3

Authorize with Google

You are redirected to Google’s authorization page. Accept all requested permissions — these cover uploading videos and managing your channel. Declining any scope prevents the connection from completing.
4

Verify the connection card

After the redirect returns you to Hivra, your channel name and profile picture appear on the integration card. The health chip reads Healthy once the monitoring job confirms the token is valid.
Each Hivra workspace connects to a single YouTube channel. If you manage multiple channels, connect each one from a separate workspace or as an additional integration within the same workspace if the feature is available on your plan.

YouTube publish settings

When you add YouTube as a destination in the Composer, a settings panel appears with the following options.

Video title

YouTube requires a title for every upload. By default, Hivra uses your Composer caption as the video title. To set a different title for YouTube, enter it in the YouTube title field in the settings panel. The title you enter here appears in YouTube Studio and on the watch page, while the shared caption remains the description field on YouTube.
YouTube titles have a 100-character limit. If your shared caption is longer, set a dedicated YouTube title to avoid it being truncated.

Playlist

Use the Playlist dropdown to assign the video to one of your existing YouTube playlists at publish time. The dropdown lists all playlists on the connected channel. If you do not select a playlist, the video is added only to the channel’s main uploads.

Privacy

Set the visibility of the video using the Privacy selector:
SettingWho can view
PublicAnyone on YouTube and in search results
UnlistedAnyone with the direct link; does not appear in search or your channel page
PrivateOnly you and people you explicitly invite in YouTube Studio
Scheduled publishing in Hivra uses the privacy setting you choose here. If you want to schedule a YouTube video to go live at a specific time, set privacy to Public and use Hivra’s scheduled publish time — YouTube will make the video visible at that time.

Per-platform caption override

The YouTube Description field is populated from the Composer’s shared caption by default. To write a different description specifically for YouTube, enable Override caption in the YouTube settings panel and enter your YouTube-specific text. This does not affect the video title.

Reconnect your YouTube channel

If the integration card shows Attention, your Google token has expired or been revoked.
1

Open Integrations

Go to Dashboard → Integrations and locate the YouTube card.
2

Click Reconnect

Click Reconnect on the card to restart the Google OAuth flow.
3

Re-authorize with Google

Accept all permissions on Google’s authorization page to issue a fresh token.
4

Confirm the health chip

Wait for the monitoring job to run. The chip should return to Healthy within a few minutes.
If you revoke Hivra’s access from your Google account settings (myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps), the integration card will show Attention on the next monitoring cycle. You must reconnect from the Integrations page to restore publishing.
