# Publish Your First Video in Under 5 Minutes

> Go from a brand-new Hivra account to a live post on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, or Threads — step by step, no experience needed.

Hivra is designed so that uploading once and publishing everywhere takes only a few minutes. This guide walks you through every step: creating your account, connecting a platform, composing your post, and confirming it went live. By the end you'll have a published video and a clear picture of where each piece of the dashboard fits.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Sign up for Hivra">
    Go to [hivra.app](https://hivra.app) and create your account. You can sign up with Google, Meta, or your email address. The Free plan is active immediately — no credit card required.

    <Note>
      If you sign up with email, check your inbox for a confirmation link from Hivra and click it to activate your account.
    </Note>

    After signing in for the first time, Hivra walks you through a short onboarding flow. Pick the option that best describes you and connect your first platform when prompted — or skip ahead and do it manually in the next step.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect a platform">
    Open **Integrations** in the sidebar. Hivra supports six platforms: **YouTube**, **Instagram**, **TikTok**, **Facebook**, **X**, and **Threads**.

    Click **Connect** next to the platform you want to publish to and follow the authorization flow. Hivra uses each platform's official OAuth connection, so your credentials never pass through Hivra's servers.

    <Tip>
      Connect all the platforms you publish to now so you can target multiple accounts in a single Composer session later.
    </Tip>

    For detailed instructions for each platform, see [Integrations overview](/integrations/overview).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the Composer">
    Click **New Post** in the sidebar. This opens the Composer — a full-screen workspace where you upload media, write captions, and choose where to publish.

    Hivra saves your Composer session locally, so if you close the browser and come back, your draft will still be there.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload your video and write a caption">
    Select the connected accounts you want to publish to by toggling the account tiles, then drag and drop your MP4 or MOV file into the Composer, or click to browse your files.

    Write your caption in the main caption field. You can use the same caption across all platforms or click into each platform's tile to write a custom caption. You can also set an optional first comment in the section below the caption area. Your first comment will be added to each post across all accounts you've selected.

    <Note>
      TikTok does not support posting a first comment through their API, so it will be excluded from the first comment section.
    </Note>

    With your caption and first comment set, click **Next** at the bottom of the composer and adjust settings like YouTube playlists or TikTok disclosure toggles, and fine-tune per-platform details.

    <Tip>
      Hivra is optimized for vertical short-form video — Shorts, Reels, and similar formats — but you can also publish image and text posts. For more information, see [Post Types & Platform Limits](/publishing/post-types-platform-limits).
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish now or schedule for later">
    When your caption and settings look right, choose how to publish:

    * **Publish now** — sends your video to all selected platforms immediately.
    * **Schedule** — pick a date and time and Hivra will publish automatically when that moment arrives.

    Hit the publish button and Hivra fans out the upload to every platform you selected. The publishing process may take a few minutes to complete.

    For a deeper look at Composer options, see [Composer](/publishing/composer).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm your post in Library">
    After publishing, open **Library** in the sidebar. Your post appears with a **Published** badge and platform chips you can click to view the live post on each network.

    If a platform shows a different status — **Partial** or **Failed** — the job detail view explains what went wrong. Scheduled posts appear in the **Scheduled** bucket until their publish time.
